Four days down...

...and only 27 more to go.
The days are just flying by as it is.
Hope I can keep up!

About a month ago a dear friend gave away almost all of her
earthly possessions and moved to Texas with her son.
Don't even get me started on living in Texas, but let me
just say it was the worst eight months of my life. Period.
Anyhoo, I digress.

One of the various treasured items that I now have of hers
is this Disney album.

That is some vintage shit right there.
Super nice, right? Not in too bad of condition either.
Although the album's inner sleeve is (of course) missing.
Meaning, that the album may be a little worse for wear.

She said her Dad used to play it every year for Halloween.
I remember those kind of houses while trick or treating.
They were so much scarier than the houses with just a porch light
and a lit jack-o-lantern.

I mean c'mon, look at those titles!
You can already hear most of these just based on your own Halloween memories.

I'm guessing that by the time you get to side two, you may be ready to call
it a night. Not sure just how many screams and drips I can handle in one sitting.
I'll probably be popping this gem into a frame and hanging it up as art.

And speaking of art, here is a nice shot of my mantle the other evening.
It's a good view of my bugs and a beautiful framed art print from and by
Check out her shop for gorgeous art of all themes, but her dark art is
of course, my favorite.

And now for the crafty portion of our show...

I made this card, and I love it.
I tend to try too hard, but this is so simple, and it came together
fairly quickly, for me anyway.

The image was a freebie from Paper Whims(?) years ago,
but I can't find a link for them anywhere. It may have been from
a now defunct blog. Anyone else have this in their stash? Donna?
EDIT: I reverse image searched it and found it at Beccy's Place, along with
a few other cool freebies. You are welcome.

I really like the Victorian feel of the damask dp, the label, and the
combination of black lace and Burton-esque ribbon.
I like it a lot.

Thanks for stopping by again, today.
All of the hop links are in my sidebar for your hopping convenience.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

  9. As a matter of fact, I do have that image, but am glad I don't have to go seeking it out as I'm running a bit behind this morning, Glo. I so love it, and the fab Victorian feel of your gorgeous card. xxD Are you gonna play that album this Halloween? The house in our neighborhood that did that used to scare the shit out of me. xxD

  10. OOoooooooo what a bootiful card, so rich so gothic so yummy! Wow, a nice score for you that LP from your friend, head scratcher for me to think she'd give up something like that, especially that it was something her Dad played every Halloween. I'm a big sentimental softie and keep everything LOL ;0)
