The Burtonesque Dolls challenge #10 Burton Boys

This week over at The Burtonesque Dolls,
we were to create a project using a Burton character as our main image.
This week's challenge is sponsored by Stamp It Crazy.
I already have quite a collection of Stamp it Crazy images,
and decided to use the Jack Skellington image, and pair it with
the wicked iron fence, also from SIC.

I embossed the fence and then colored it in using SU inks and SU sponge daubers,
to help it blend into the background a bit more. When it was white it was just too much contrast against that cool, vintage wallpaper.
Yeah! I finally worked it into a project!
That stuff is kinda crazy to glue down. I think it's been rolled up a very long time.
Overall, I am pleased.
How 'bout you?

This is my second card, since Barb at Stamp it Crazy
was nice enough to provide us with this image to play with also.
I already had the Zero headstone stamp from another company (Stamp Happy),
so I popped it up on pop dots to cover the original, sillouette image of Zero's headstone.
I used a Nesties label, and mounted that on a Lattice Pendant.
I ran lime green, sheer ribbon through it for a little contrast and I also added
a touch of sparkle with a Sakura glitter pen.

LOVE the Martha Stewart edge punches!
This is the graveyard punch with some more glitter pen for highlights.
It's nice, right?

  14. While I am playing catch up,you are doing 2 cards in one challenge?!? Way to make a gal feel like a slacker! LOL!
Seriously, I love both of these cards! The way you strategically used the PP on the 1st card, combined with the gate and matting - it just creates such a powerful mood. Totally awesome! And the 2nd card - I can't get over the fab color (is it sponged or airbrushed???) and layout. The way you combined the punch and sentiment is GENIUS!

  16. Hi! I am new to your blog, but I LOVE it! My 7 year old daughter is a huge fan of Jack Skellington and his dog Zero...I cannot locate the company where you purchased the "Zero Headstone" stamp from Stamp Happy. Do you have a link? I found a company on Google but it did not appear to be an updated site and no sign of NBC stamps...please share where I can get some if you know if any (I have visited Stamp It Crazy, but would like to find the Zero stamp as well...) THANKS and keep up the beautiful work!
