HDH102 Queen of the Damned Wretched Wednesday

It's Wednesday already?!
Man, this month is just flying by!

This week at HDH, the challenge is
"Queen of the Damned".
Think royalty, crowns, thrones, and the like.
I decided to make my own Queen of sorts...

This is "Zombie Kellita" from Tickled Pink Stamps.
Really? Like you thought I wouldn't snag this little chickie
the second she went on the digi list at TP?

She's wonderful!!! In all her zombified loveliness!!
I had a blast coloring her in and giving her my favorite
YG shades of zombie pallor, and BG hair.

I used the "Bleeding Cowboys" font to set the type for
the sentiment, and mounted it on a fancy label from Spellbinders.

I topped off the undead Kellita with a random crown stamp
I had in my stash. Threw in a few rhinestones to keep her
purdy, and we are fini!!

I am entering this project at
I didn't use an Octopode image,
but at least I managed to play along, finally!

There is still plenty of time to join in on the
Macabre fun over at HDH too!!!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Wicked Wednesday - HDH097 Loathsome Lotharios

The new challenge at Haunted Design House is
Basically, a guy who is a total player.
He'll take your money, your love and your dignity.
If you're one of the few who has never encountered
such a scoundrel, count yourself quite lucky.

I chose a quote from one of my all time favorite TV shows,

"Nip Tuck".

Doctor Christian Troy is a true douche bag
in every sense of the word.
He's probably fun to be with for an evening, but don't
get comfortable ladies. He's been known to make women
wear a bag over their heads during intimacy before.
Real nice guy, right?

I went with a very unfamiliar color scheme for this one.
I dunno why, but I just don't reach for blue very often.
I did reach for it this time, along with one of the
Tickled Pink's "Lil' Lads - Lestat".
He looks brooding and in need of some female companionship.
I like it!

Drop by Haunted Design House and check out the
eye candy from the rest of the Minions.
Maybe even get inspired to play along

TBD#15 What's your favorite Burton film?

"Frankenweenie" from 1984
is my all time favorite Tim Burton film.
If you are not familiar with this little gem, you simply must
get over to YouTube and check it out.
It's only like 30 minutes long, and well worth the watch.
This week's sponsor at TBD is Tickled Pink Stamps.
I chose to use 'Lilith' from their Lil' Lolitas line of images.

Isn't she simply droll?
I just love her bored expression.

Play along with the Dolls this week
showing us which Burton film is your favorite and have a chance to win either
50's Lilith, or 80's Sookie, from Tickled Pink stamps.

Kinda short today.
I have a hot date with the poor sap who married me.
14 years married and 23 years together.
Some people are just gluttons for punishment.
He loves me, despite me, and that is a pretty tall order.

The Burtonesque Dolls challenge #11 "Wood" You Like to be in the Movies?

This week's theme at The Burtonesque Dolls is the
cult classic, "Ed Wood".
I used the adorable "Lilah" image from our sponsor this week, Tickled Pink Stamps.
The theme was to keep it black and white and silver (as in the silver screen, I think), and use the film "Ed Wood" for inspiration.
I couldn't find a suitable angora sweater effect, so I just went with one of my favorite quotes from the film.

There is a very fine line between genius and madman.

The other quote I tried to work into the project without success was,
Ed: "You know, you're much scarier in real life than in the movies".
Bella: "Thank you".

Stop by TBD challenge blog and see what the other dolls have cooked up, and
get inspired to play along!

I also was hipped to this groovy Color Me Copic blog and their very first
challenge is black and white using their coloring technique.
This card is perfect for that challenge!
I used all of my cool grays C1 thru C7 (I don't have C9, so I used 110), and lets not forget the colorless blender.
The technique is great and the randomly chosen prize is the adorable "Oliver and Amelia" set from The Greeting Farm.
Check out the challenge, learn a technique, and go color something!
