12 Days of CREEPMAS Oddball style!!

Today is the day!

Or today is MY day to be more specific.
I get to share my Creepy Cute holiday creations with you
for the 

12 Days of Creepmas 
with Oddball Art Co.. 

I have such wonders to share with you using Oddball stamps.

Most of my makes include the Creepy Cute Chronicles freebie images.

And to further prove my point that you should join the exclusive

members club, I'm using some of the exclusive images as well.

I fell in love with this adorable pup the very second 

I saw him as a Creepy Chronicles freebie.

Oh, did you miss out on him?

Well, all the more reason to join the Exclusives club,

This little red hooded lady was also a previous 

CCC newsletter freebie image.

Who doesn't need a Creepmas Bat for their holiday cards?

Both images are CCC images.

Gwendolyne is super cute with her tiny horned buddy,

and the girlie ghostie from the skeleton pupper set.

That cool gooey background paper is from Oddball Art Co.. 

Lizzy's digital papers work great for her images, 

(any images for that matter), 

and they all compliment each other perfectly.   

This image gave me an excuse to break out with the Liquid Applique.
That neglected stuff was almost ivory in the tube,
but whitened right up when I heated it up with the ol' heat gun.

This guy just may be my very favorite.

It's like I can almost feel his pain...

He paired up perfectly with another Creepmas Tree,

and a fun and snarky sentiment.

He is also a previous CCC image.

Every year I am in dire need of gift tags.

The stitched coffin dies are perfect for my tag shapes.

Using one of the CCC holiday zombie hands,

and that cute skeleton pupper a in smaller size to fit the tag.

One of the many perks to using digital images is their versatility.

You can resize, crop, and even flip them to suit your needs. 

Here's where the other two hands crawled off to!
I will probably be making more of these before the week is over.

One Last Oddball

I just couldn't resist making one last Creepmas card.

And it seems fitting that it features an Oddball Art Stamp image.

This little cutie is one of the free images that Lizzy offers to the

subscribers of her 

Creepy Cute Chronicles newsletter.

I colored this little puppy/deer using Copic markers.

I used a die cut scalloped oval frame and popped it up

on foam dots to give some depth between the frame and the image.

Lastly, I used one of my favorite products of the year, Nuvo drops.

I don't know why, but I love this stuff. I only have 18 colors so far,

but that might be enough for  now.

This is going to do it for me for 2018.

This year has not been kind, but I have learned quite a bit,

so it's not a completely cruel joke. 

I am hopeful for the coming year, and will set my focus on making 

it the very best that I can.

The Snowman from Hellgnome

I don't know about you, but that title sounds like a great

Christmas movie. 

And by great, I mean watchable since I will watch damn near

any scary movie that is on TV. Case in point, I just sat through

2 1/2 hours of 'The House That Jack Built', starring Matt Dillon as a serial killer.

BORING! There were a few scenes worth watching (see taxidermy scene), but

overall a total snooze fest. Then there's 'Mandy", starring Nicolas Cage. 

I was left thinking and audibly asking, "WTF did I just watch?".

Makes me give 'The Nun' another star. 

Which brings that total up to three stars now.

Okay, back to my card...

Doesn't this just make you all warm and fuzzy inside?

No? Just me then. 

I began my creative foray by coloring this killer Horned Snowman

image from Inked Artist/Hellgnome Death Digis . 

I used Copic markers for my coloring of the snowman.

I just can't seem to use anything else to color with these days.

My Zigs are missing me...

I took some designer paper that resembles wooden planks,

and used some Dylusions sprays in Cherry Pie and Post Box Red for 

blood splatter. This guy looks kind of messy, so I splattered him as well.  

I used a die cut from the same paper pad and splattered that with

Dylusions sprays also. These reds are perfect for blood splatter.

Just sayin'... 

I popped everything onto some black card stock using foam tape

on the snowman and his festive sign.

I managed to find some still intact Xmas candy to use as props

for my photo shoot. I like it.

Merry Oddball!

I'm back again with what will be my last post for 2018.

I can't think of a better way to go out than with an Oddball Xmas!!

I have had a great time guest designing for Lizzy at Oddball Art Co.

I couldn't resist playing with some of the CCC freebies, 

like this simple, yet perfect holiday image from CCC#27.  

Such a fun and easy gate fold card with a Stickled and stitched die cut, 

some snowflakes, and some white Nuvo drops.

This is one of two images in this set of versatile digis #339.

I paired this one with a simple gold embossed sentiment and gold pearls.

The vibrant Copic coloring really pops against the black.

Same thing for this one, but I used silver embossing with a different

sentiment, and silver pearls and rhinestones for accents. 

Another Copic colored image from CCC#27, stitched die cuts,

and some sequins.

I love this one! Image #137 colored with Copics, against stitched die cuts,

backed onto some very busy, yet complimentary paper. Black Nuvo drops

added for texture.

Lastly, I couldn't resist these wacky critters from CCC#14 that I merged with

the jar in digi set #447.  I added their names onto the tags as well.

I added some iridescent Nuvo drops on the fronts, backed the tags onto 

black cardstock for stability and contrast, and strung them with baker's twine.

I used a white gel pen to add the "To: and From:" on the back of each tag.

It is going to be an Oddball Xmas, indeed!

Farewell challenge for Delicious Darkness

Today marks the beginning of the end of the challenges,

and the stores known as Delicious Darkness, and Delicious Doodles.

Due to new tax laws going on the books in 2015, many UK digi shops will be 

closing down for good. Unfortunately, the Delicious shops are 

scheduled to do the same at the beginning of the new year.

Teri is offering generous discount codes for both of her shops.

Grab those images now, while they're offered at such a great discount!

If you can't take advantage of this fabulous sale and are

devastated like the rest of us that these shops are closing,

you will still be able to access Teri's darker art from 

Smeared Ink. Yep! The girls at SI have stepped up and are 

offering Teri's images in rubber and digi!! Nice, right?

Our final challenge theme for this month is 

Anything Goes. 

And if you're feeling extra adventurous, the twist is 

Creepy Crimbo.

I have been on a bit of a tag kick lately.

I'm trying to build up a reserve of them for next year. 

I used Teri's Skully Xmas Wreath for these tags.

I colored them with Copics in different color schemes,

added a gem to the center, and lots of Stickles for added

sparkle.

I just stamped "To: and From:" on the backs to make them gift tags.

I think these would be great as inexpensive Hexmas ornaments, too.

    

I went for a relatively CAS look for this card.

I really wanted that Ram's Skull image front and center.

Such a wicked image!

After coloring it in with Copics, I backed it onto some layered 

twig wreath die cuts, embellished with half pearls to look like

ornaments. I added the barbed wire die cut because it was looking

really bare. I like how this turned out. Not too fancy, so it's perfect

for a masculine friend or family member.

I added this festive sentiment to the inside to finish it all off.

I have finally decided to make some Creepmas/Hexmas cards.

I am using the wicked cool Dark Holidaze Entryway from Smeared Ink.

This is the digital version, but a rubber one also exists in a set of Holidaze rubber.

I even broke out with my new TH Bowties die for this card.

Way easier than trying to tie my own bows, even with the Bow Easy.

Yeah, I still have a hard time doing it right even after watching

countless videos. I've been having a Schleprock week, so it's just

par for the course at this point.

Merry Creepmas! Final reveal Day 13

Just when you thought it would never end, 

we have reached Day 13 of the 13 Days of Creepmas hop!!

I don't think that I have ever consistently posted for 13 days straight.

It was a lot of work, but so worth the killer projects I came up with using some incredibly wicked and wonderful images from Rick St. Dennis.

Since we received a visit from Sandy Claws yesterday, it only makes sense that we would be celebrating New Year's next, right?

Let's say, "Goodbye" to 2012 and, "Hello" to 2013!!!

Well, if that "Zombie Chorus Girl" from Rick St. Dennis represents 2012,

then it really has been one rough, "tore up from the floor up" kind of year! 

And by the looks of "Baby New Year", 2013 is gonna be ruddy, if nothing else.

Rick suggested that I color her in a sickly yellow.

I'm not sure if this is what he envisioned, but I think she turned out pretty cool, and I never would have thought to use yellows (and blue violets for shadows) for zombie skin. Perfect for that putrescent pallor. 

Well, this is the end of the 13 Days of Creepmas, and this is the

grand finale to my Merry Creepmas box.

Creepmas: Day 12 - almost there....

As promised for Day 12, the lid to my Merry Creepmas box.

I think it kind of sets the overall tone for the entire project, don't you?

I used "Sandy Claws", by Rick St. Dennis.

Looks like Santa had reindeer for lunch. With a side order of rabies!

I used some acrylic snowflakes that I have had in my stash for way too long,

and I got to use my new Memorybox snowflake die. I chopped two different ones in half and glued (I'm a good gluer!) them behind the shady Santa.

I made a bit of a mess with the glue and added some 

Diamond Dust to hide the shiny glue marks. 

First time I've used it and I realize I need to use a 

thicker glue next time, but it did serve it's purpose in this case.

Nice and sparkly like newly fallen snow! 

And the piece de resistance!

I used my new holiday cheer sentiment from  Stampotique!!!

Perfection!!!!

Creepmas: Day 11

This is the final panel on my Creepmas box.

I still have the lid to reveal tomorrow.

My best friend pretty much lifted her leg and claimed this for herself.

She rarely does that, so I'll let her have it this time.  

I used "This is for you", by Rick St. Dennis.

I matched the image up with some MS and Ek punches, and then I got the

bright idea to use a "To:/From:" tag as well.

Not feeling very well, so this is a short post.

Creepmas: Day 10

I can't believe it's been 10 days since we started this event!

I have quite the stack of Creepmas paper crafts to show for it, too.

I have some pre-printed holiday cards this year, but some lucky

folks will receive some of my handmade cards. 

As awesome as I think my cards are, not everyone appreciates the work or the

creativity I put into them. And not everyone enjoys a monster on their

holiday cards. Sheesh! I can't imagine, but to each their own.

Today's box panel is showcasing "Creepmas Dolls" image from

Rick St. Dennis.

She doesn't look that pleased with her dollies does she?

I'd gladly take them off her hands, but I have a feeling she (or they) 

may put up quite a fight!  

 After coloring everyone with Copics, I used a few punches and die cuts to play off of the spider web in the wreath. I have way more spider stuff 
than dolly embellishments, so this worked for me.  

Next up on the RSD hop is Aletha.
