Creepmas: Day 10

I can't believe it's been 10 days since we started this event!

I have quite the stack of Creepmas paper crafts to show for it, too.

I have some pre-printed holiday cards this year, but some lucky

folks will receive some of my handmade cards. 

As awesome as I think my cards are, not everyone appreciates the work or the

creativity I put into them. And not everyone enjoys a monster on their

holiday cards. Sheesh! I can't imagine, but to each their own.

Today's box panel is showcasing "Creepmas Dolls" image from

Rick St. Dennis.

She doesn't look that pleased with her dollies does she?

I'd gladly take them off her hands, but I have a feeling she (or they) 

may put up quite a fight!  

 After coloring everyone with Copics, I used a few punches and die cuts to play off of the spider web in the wreath. I have way more spider stuff 
than dolly embellishments, so this worked for me.

Merry Creepmas!! 

BWAINZZZZZ!!! and some Zombie WIPs

Zombie Apocalypse

 is this week's challenge theme

at Haunted Design House.

Zombies. Easy. Done! My area of personal expertise if I dare.

This is my challenge. I'm all over it.

And I sit, and I continue to sit some more and I ponder

the possibilities of this challenge. Do I use a digital image

or do I use one of the new SBS Zombies? Do I even make

a card, or should I sculpt something? Yes, clay that's good.

Now what to sculpt? A whole Zombie? I'd like to add that this

internal conversation was happening at like 2AM on Wednesday.

An entire Zombie sculpt is not going to happen. The pressure 

really kicks in when I see what fellow DT member, Lynx made.

Really? And I'm supposed to be the Zombie girl?

I conceded a few times, but finally went with what I am

currently working on anyway.

I give you...

"GlowBwainz"!!!! 

These are about the size of a quarter and are flat enough to

use on paper crafts. 

They are perfect as cabochons or for use on other crafts.

I picture these on a trinket box in leui of rhinstones or

a cameo.

Hmmm... the seed was just planted.

These two were some prototypes with bites taken out.

I made some that actually do glow in the dark,

and I also made some as pendants too.

Check my Etsy shoppe for these brains and some

larger, more detailed sTeAmPunKiNs in the coming days.  

And here is a project I have been dying to get to for weeks!

I have taken these sweet, resin cherubs

and transformed them a bit.

Can you see where this is going?

I plan to make them in to magnets and or lapel pins.

Creepy Goes International

Man, where does the time go? Seems like it was only last week that I was fat, dumb, and happy just to be making some cute Halloween cards. Now I am fully emersed in the world of Etsy, and making polymer clay crap like my life depends on it! I started my Etsy site on the 5th of October, and since then I have been busy creating and selling my art. I never thought I would actually sell anything, but my friend, (and one of my biggest fans) Dani, talked me into listing a few of my sculptures to see if anyone would buy them. Now I have made 8 sales and even went international with an order from Greece! I am so stoked to have sold one item, let alone multiple items to various people! I figured all the orders would generate from one e-mail and that my husband would be hiding all my stuff that he ordered.

Welcome to Creepeeville

I have not touched a stamp or a stamped image in almost a week. I finally decided to break out with the polymer clay this week, and haven't looked back since. I have been having so much fun creating these little Halloween folks with the intention of giving them to my mom-in-law to sell at a craft show on Halloween. Then I find out that the craft fair is at a Pentacostle church and my husband informed me that Pentacostle folk don't recognize Halloween as a holiday and therefore don't celebrate it at all. Well, pee all over my parade why dontcha?! So, now I am turning to Etsy in the hopes of finding new homes for my little fiends.

I am in the process of assembling earrings with the candy corns and the batts on them. Some have their tongues hanging out like the ghosts.

All of the ghosts and the moons and the candy corns glow in the dark. Some of the bases glow as well. I am a huge fan of glow in the dark and black light responsive items.

Say Hello to my Little Friends

It has been killing me lately seeing all these fabulous creations for Halloween that everyone is making. There are so many blogs and websites entirely devoted to Halloween and the creations are wickedly amazing! I finally dug out my poly clay and accessories, and began creating. My mother-in-law is participating in a craft faire on Halloween, and when she asked me to come along I told her, "No, are you crazy?" She knows better, but I think she likes to yank my chain anyway. I decided to send some of my little friends from "Creepeeville" along to keep her company at the craft faire. Maybe some of them will find new homes.

Here are some batts. I have a tattoo that I drew up and that was the inspiration for these little guys.

That reminds me, I want more ink!

 Here is the "Creepeeville Punkin Posse". I never really sculpted mouths and eyesockets before. I usually just push beads in and not include mouths, but after being inspired by so much detailed and imaginative work, I had to make a better effort this time.
