Freaker's Free for All

Quick post today.
This is for the Macabre Monday challenge at
Haunted Design House,
"Freaker's Free for All".
Basically, anything goes!

I chose to work with "Vamp Me" from our sponsor this week,
I used a Spica glitter pen to add sparkle to the Vampire and his
intended victim. Kinda sucks that the sparkle doesn't show in pics.

I also used the headstone and the coffin from another
Tiddly Inks set called, "Vampire Extra pack".
I adhered everything onto a large Spellbinder floral oval to
anchor all the elements.

Lastly, I added Stickled paper roses to finish it off.

That's it for me. Busy, busy, busy.
Less than 92 days until Hallowe'en!!

I'd like to enter this card in the current challenge at

Hey there, Bone Daddy!!

Father's Day is fast approaching and I am glad that
school is out and I can create non-stop during the day.
I am turning into such a procrastinator.
I color images weeks in advance and then let them sit
for weeks until the deadline to mail the actual card is, tomorrow.
Kind of a weak ticket, but I'm working on it.

Here is my nerdy FIL's card.
I used this adorable image from Tiddly Inks.
He is available as part of the Robot Holidays set.

My FIL works for the state of California and
does something with computers. This looks just like him.
Even down to the eyeglasses to which I added
Glossy Accents to give them some shine.
My FIL's name is Richard, but somehow I'm the only
one who gets away with calling him, "Dick".
I love that man.

Next up is the card I made for my husband.

I used a killer image from SimplyBStamps called,
Draco. He is part of her Steampunk Hallowe'en line.

I ended up adding way more spritzes than I had intended, but
I think it came out pretty cool. I used some Tattered Angels
Dragonfly mist, and then I used a bunch of Copic Toner grays
with the SU airbrush tool (it's a booger sucker, let's be real here).
Me likey.
Oh, and the Bone Daddy title I set on the computer.
It's kinda my hubby's nickname. On a good day, anyway.

Well, I have a few more cards to create today, so I had better
get to it.

Victorian Steampunk Fusion

Have you heard about this yet?

I am so excited to see the full range of new, and very
compatible digi images from the creative minds of

You had me at Steampunk!
I think these new images will be a perfect compliment to my
"sTeaMpUNkinS".
I am seeing them on "Thank you for purchasing my art" cards.
I can't wait!!!!

Father's Day Fallout

I don't have a relationship with my father.
Maybe we are just too much alike. Yikes.
I did send him a card for the first time in three years.
More for me, than for him, but I sent one.
I don't want a phone call, but I do want him to know
I love him.

That being said, I do have three wonderful men in
my life who do deserve a heartfelt Father's Day card.

This one was for my FIL.
I was going for CAS and I managed it okay I think.
I am still new to single layer cards, but it did come together
quite quickly.

I opted for a handwritten sentiment as I don't have
any Father's Day stamps. I used Mercius from SBS.
I kept him monochrome to cut down
on my coloring time (which can take up to an hour or more!).

This one is for my other FIL who is a Mac geek.
This image is specifically for him. Perfect! I knew
instantly when I saw it at Tiddly Inks ,
I had to have it for him.

I totally struggled with the right sentiment and I finally
decided to go with a binary code with happy father's day
hidden within. Totally homemade, but effective.
I kept this one as a single layer card so I could play along with
the challenge at Tiddly Inks.

Lastly, is my favorite card.
I immediately fell in love with the image when I saw it last year

This one is for my husband, who we both agree is
a much better father than either of us had.
He is awesome, and my son I are both uber blessed to
have him in our lives.

Happy (belated) Father's Day!

Wicked Wednesday - HDH085 Gothic Pin-up

This week's Wicked Wednesday offering is for
the Gothic Pin-up challenge
at Haunted Design House
sponsored by Tiddly Inks.

I chose to create with "Wicked Fun".
I guess that I am pretty predictable since Donna
said she figured I'd pick this one.
What can I say? I'm a sucker for a chick with horns!

I decided to go with a non-traditional fire color scheme,
and chose purples instead of reds.
Besides, Donna kinda beat me to it this week with her fiery red
card on Monday and the naughty underwear sentiment.
I used a Tiddly Inks freebie sentiment from their
Paper Craft Planet group from a while back.

Please join us this week at HDH and maybe you will be the
lucky weiner of a $10 gift certificate to the
Tiddly Inks digi store.

HDH054 Creepy Cute

This week's Macabre Monday challenge is Creepy Cute.
I'm usually pretty good at "creepin'" out cute images, but decided to play it kinda safe with this card.
This week's sponsor is the uber fab Tiddly Inks!
I guess I am a bit of a purist when it comes to these images and I can't bring myself
to alter them very much.
I used the Twisted Tree(s) and the "Pinky" image.
I even broke out with the Doodlebugg glitters for her fancy dress and the cupcake.
Not to mention the pretty pink bling (just for you "E") flourishes.
I also tried out another hair coloring technique with the shiny highlight effect.
Need way more practice, but it's nice to have options. There is a great tutorial on TGF
for coloring curly hair if you're interested.
I guess I kept this more cute than creepy, which doesn't happen all that often.
I hope they don't pull my creepy card for this!

Please join us this week at Haunted Design House and creep out
something cute!!

Halloween is Hoppin' at Tiddly Inks

After much anticipation, it's finally here!
I am fairly new to Tiddly Inks (6 months or so), but when I started
seeing these adorable images I was an instant fan!
Then when I heard about these new Halloween images I was chompin'
at the bit to get my grubby little snausages on them.
Here is my first round of images from the new Halloween release (I'm sure I'll need them all at some point).
I give you , Batty Bugg, Franko Boto, and his lil' brother, Vamp Boto.
They are out trick or treating by the light of the moon, in the creepy graveyard.

And lil' Vamp Boto's pet bat, Belfrey Boto (I named him myself) is keeping
watch over the kids on their Halloween adventure.

Something about making scenes and making up a story as I go along, helps with the creative process.

Well, that's it for me.
Have fun on the hop and thanks for dropping by for a spell.
