Look who's on a roll!

Not bad. Five posts already this month.
So far so good with keeping up with posts,
despite the fact that no one hardly seems to stop by
very much anymore. That's cool though, as I look at this
blog as an indelible record of my thoughts and artwork from
this point in my life. More for me and my kid than anyone else.
But it's still nice to think folks will drop by and enjoy what they see
and read here.
And as usual, I digress...

I made another ATC. I really enjoy making these things.
The current theme over at Wicked Wednesday is
Pink, Black, and White.

Pretty sure that I nailed it.
Definitely one of  my favorite color schemes.

In keeping with another want for the new year, I am using
a previously unused digi image. This one is from the now defunct,
Birdie Brown. I adore Torico's simplistic, and sweet style.
I'm sure you'll be seeing more of her art, as I have amassed quite a collection.
Yes, another "collection".
I kinda panicked when she announced she was closing her shop...

After coloring this sweet image with Copics, I added some
white highlights with a Gelly Roll pen, and some Fruit Punch
Stickles for sparkle. I also added a couple of steampunk corner
accents, complete with rhinestone centers.

Thanks for stopping by today.
I really do appreciate those of you who stop by, and especially
when you take the time to leave me a comment.

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Halfway there ... barely. Day 15

All coughing and no sleep, makes Glo a dull girl.
Still sick. Hopefully, I'll be better before the end of the month.
Gah! I sure hope so!

Here's a very rudimentary card. That's fancy talk for simple.
I used a Birdie Brown image (now defunct and unavailable),
of a sweet monster trio.

I used my "BOO" Sizzix die for the first time. I like it.
Maybe when I'm feeling better I'll get more creative, but for
now this will have to do.

I did pick up these cute monster spoons a while back.
I've seen them around for a while, but managed to resist
the urge to buy them until now.

Since they are intended for kiddos they really don't fit well in an
adult mouth. Don't worry about how I know this.
One or two will probably end up in my giveaway coming up.
Maybe they'll be good for embossing powder or something.
And I'm keeping the purple one since it is the one that I defiled...

Thanks for stopping by and for all of the great comments!

Battling the Snot Monster Day 11

Day 11 of the Countdown to Halloween and

I am currently battling the snot monster, and it's winning.
Such a bummer to be sick during the best month of the entire year.
But I am going to overload on some meds and decorate my house
this weekend. I haven't been up to decorating for the past two years
(my Mom passed away the first year, and I just wasn't feelin' it the next),
but I am going to do it this year. Come hell or high water, it's gonna happen.

I made a cute ATC to go in my ATC graveyard box.
I used a sweet image from Birdie Brown, but unfortunately
she no longer sells her digis. She does design for MFT though.
The background is left over from a fun and easy technique I tried,
and some stamps that were heat embossed.

Thanks for stopping by today.
I promise to have some cool schtuff to show you tomorrow.

Having a mainstream moment

Contrary to my popular belief, not everyone likes weird cards.
So every so often I am challenged to create a mainstream card
for family birthdays and special occasions.

I adore this image called, Retro Girl 3
I am a huge fan of Torico (of Birdie Brown), who now designs exclusively
for My Favorite Things. She used to sell her images on Etsy,
but unfortunately, she closed her shop when things picked up at MFT.
Glad I stocked up on her digital art when I had the chance.

I made this card for my SIL. I colored her to resemble Dana, too.
She has three boys under 12, so I imagined her sitting alone and
enjoying a cup of tea/coffee for her birthday.
I bet she imagines that scenario as well.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Thanks for dropping by today.
Hope I didn't frighten my creepier fiends with this one.
The darkness shall return momentarily.....

Valentine's Day quickie

Just a quick post from me to say,
Happy V Day!!

Cute little card for my son, using an adorable trio of monsters from,

Have a wonderful day!
My Valentine is off work today, so we are going out to a
seafood lunch and a walk around old Sacramento
and the Sacramento River. Nice.

Goblin, Imp, or Demon (and a lil' Gnome)

The days are ticking off faster than I can create lately.
I have been so busy I haven't even had time to decorate my
house and now it's kinda too late.
I think we'll paint or carve the pumpkins this weekend.
My husband brought home some pumpkin pie ice cream.
Yum! Sounds like a date!

I am trying to churn out some Hallowe'en masterpieces before
Wednesday. Here is my latest card.
This is one of my favorite images from Rick St. Dennis.
It's like he's in my head. Rick, not the demon. Well, maybe him too.

This guy is called, Gimme Candy.
He has a brother and some singing cousins, too.
Stay tuned for them in the coming days/weeks.

I just can't pass up a freebie from the wonderfully talented,
Torico from Birdie Brown.

Here is this month's freebie called,
He is only available for a few more days, and then
he goes away and another freebie is put up for November.
I wanted to enter the freebie challenge at Birdie Brown,
but almost forgot. Thanks to Jenn, for the reminder.

Thanks for dropping by today.
Happy Hallowe'en!!!
