Creepy Cuties

I just adore these Anya stamps. When I first laid eyes on the Dress Up set I knew I wanted to make Anyas with skulls.
She seems so innocent and demure,... but there is something a bit naughty lurking.

I just discoverd a great site at starving artistamps
and I just received some of the cutest/creepiest critter stamps ever! Can't wait to ink them up!

Blog Hop Entries

I am so excited to be participating my very first Blog Hop! This has been quite a week or two for me and all of my cyber firsts. I thought just starting a blog was a major accomplishment, and now I have won a contest on TGF Gallery and I'm involved in a blog hop!
Will the fun never end?!

Okay, here we go!

Here is fisherman Ian with his big catch! I really like the color combo and I think the little lure is a nice touch.

I am really pleased with how this card turned out since it has a very "soft" feel to it. I am usually all about the bright and vivid colors, so this is a nice change for me. I used the Geisha Anya and a sentiment kanji that translates to "Much Happiness".

This card is an Anniversary card I made for my husband for our 13th year of "wedded bliss". After showing some friends, they have been putting in orders for their anniversaries as well. It's hard to find a card with skulls and stuff for your anniversary.

This card is something I had in mind for a dear friend who is getting married for the first time. She's a little over 40, and finally found someone worthy of her. I am so happy for her and wanted to make something unique and pink like my friend, Dani.
I used the Geisha Anya image and an image from CTMH for the kanji that translates to "Forever in My Heart".

A Little Late ...

Here it is the Monday after Easter, and I am finally posting my Easter cards. I love this set of stamps I got from Close To My Heart. It's called, "Bunny Love".

Soggy Spring Break

It has been raining most of the week and that really sucks if you are my son and are on spring break. He has another chance for a sunny vacation next week since he gets TWO weeks off for break. Crazy, I know. I, on the other hand, have been enjoying the wet weather as it gives me a chance to get into my "crafting cockpit", and create. This hummingbird is an adorable stamp that I picked up at the San Jose stamp expo a month or so ago from the Magenta booth . I'm still learning how to use my Copics, so I decided to watercolor this little guy instead.

I promised myself that I would save all of my Greeting Farm creations for the blog hop, but I will sacrifice this one for your viewing pleasure.

This is one of my very favorite images and quotes to use. So fun and quirky.

And finally, here is the gargoyle, Gary, who guards my front porch. I fancy myself something of a novice photog, and like to incorporate my photos in my cards.

My Other Rockers

I had such a great time creating rockers for TGF contest, I just couldn't stop myself (still want to do a Janis Joplin). Here are my other two entries. Kurt Cobain was a given considering the likeness that already existed between him and Ian. I only had to add the stubble and the hightops and he was tranformed. Jimi Hendrix was the most fun to do with the flocked fro and upside down guitar. Fun, fun, fun!

I'm a Weiner!

Well, I finally plunged into the world of blogdom! I decided that I couldn't prosper in this world without a blog. Taadaa!
Since I am on the subject of firsts, I entered my very first card making contest, and WON! Get out! I know! No one was more surprised than me! It was the cutest contest on The Greeting Farm blog, to "Rock Out" one or more of their Anya and Ian images. I transformed the Ian character into Alice Cooper complete with boa constrictor and "Welcome to My Nightmare" song lyrics. Pretty darn cute if I do say so myself. I received such positive feedback from everyone on the Greeting Farm Gallery. This was such a great experience.
