A little more Odd

Just wanted to pop in real quick to share this gorgeous image

and the card I created with it. 

This image is called, "Sweetie Pie" and is available here. 

I LOVE this version of an owl from the Oddball shop. And she's got

plenty of owl images to choose from in the shop.

I paired this image up with some girly, flowered designer paper and

a quick sentiment stamp from Unity. I added some Nuvo drops in silver lining,

glow in the dark shocking pink, and liquid mercury.

Sewn at Dilly Beans

The theme at Dilly Beans Challenges this week is

Sewn.

I don't sew if i can avoid it, so I did some faux stitching instead.

I pierced the main image and then used a white gel pen

to fill in the faux stitches.

I used #421 framed hooter from Dilly Beans.

So sweet! 

I was going for a clean and simple design, so I just kept piercing,

using a template I ordered from Oriental Trading Company. 

Added some rhinestones and some blind embossing, and this owl will fly!

I have got a busy weekend planned for the

holiday, and I just wanted to pop in real quick

to show you this adorable little card I made.

My brother in law's birthday falls on

Independence Day, (as does my Grandma's)

and I don't really have any 4th of July images to use for his cards.

Once I saw this little cutie I knew I had to have him!

And he is, right? Just too cute!

Hogs and Sketches #8

Well, it's that time of the month again.

No, silly!

Time for the Hambo Hogs and Sketches challenge!

We have here, a loverly sketch provided by the fabulously

Here is what I did.

I really am getting some use out of this owl image.

Lately my son has been having some issues in school (and at home),

and sometimes he needs a little pick me up.

I always tell him that I will always love him, but I don't have to always like him,

or the shenanigans he pulls sometimes. 

So, on the inside I wrote:

"Everyone makes mistakes.

As long as we learn and grow from them,

we'll be less likely to repeat them."

I'm giving him this card today after school,

with a coupon good for a ride to the local

comic book store tomorrow, for FREE Comic Book Day.
