Wild Child
Here it is, the third week of summer vacation and my son Gryphon, and I are like a couple of speed bumps. We stay up late and sleep all morning. Barely getting our chores done before Dad gets home. I LOVE summer vacation! I am fortunate enough to be able to stay home with my son (pretty much since he was 2 months old) and I get to enjoy all the vacation time with him and I manage to pawn him off occasionally to enjoy some "Mommy time" to myself.
The Skater Ian image reminds me of summers spent in LA at my grandparents house. There was a cute boy (named Darryl) that used to ride his skateboard all over the neighborhood looking for empty swimming pools to ride in. We're talking the late 70's here folks. Long before skate parks were even invented. Look who's letting her age hang out! This one is inspired by Darryl, the "Wild Child" of my youth.
I got a great deal on a ton of eyelets, brads, and beaded chains, (oh my!), and couldn't wait to use some of them. I was having a hard time working out the kinks as to how to affix the chain and tag to my card. Bingo! Skateboard wheel with an eyelet! The hardest part was getting the darn chain to close! Simply cute!

Happy Father's Day
I used my Very Vanilla SU craft pad and the ink was "oily"(?). There was a puddle of oil in the lid which I noticed AFTER I stamped the card. I just embossed the word "happy" to try and get it to stand out better. It actually shows up better in person than in the photo. Has anyone ever experienced this with their pads?
